 Our family mediators are trained to work with people whose relationships have broken down. We help you to find solutions that both of you can agree on. 

In a court the judge makes all the decisions. In mediation the participants have control over the outcome of the dispute.

You stay in control. No-one can make you do anything against your wishes. 

 Unlike prolonged legal battles, mediation is a cost-effective alternative.

Discussions are confidential.  

The Government's consultation on Mediation concluded that: 

'Mediation can be a quicker, less adversarial, and most cost-effective option for many people if they can reach an agreement. This can result in better outcomes for separating families and, more importantly, for any children involved in these disputes'

NEL's Mission is to transform the way people end relationships in a better way. Ultimately helping couples avoid the emotional and financial turmoil of traditional solicitor and court approaches.

Mediation from Home

We've built a platform that's packed with features designed to make your experience with NEL as enjoyable and engaging as possible. 

• We offer remote services to people across the whole of England and Wales, conducting sessions via video or telephone conference.

• Face-to-face sessions are available at our offices in North East London and the bordering Boroughs of Essex

• You Do Not need to be in the same room as the person you are in dispute with, if you dont want to. 

• We offer 'Shuttle Mediation' keeping you in seperate rooms while the mediation is being conducted (this service  can also be carried out remotely)
